The Chronicles of Aalesund
First game in charge
I can see my opponents’ players are mostly better than mine in both positions and abilities.
However, there are abilities where my players score higher than my opponents.
Especially Movement,
Closely followed by Aggression, and Strength.
This leads me to focusing on Team Tactics where Movement is important, I also notice that nearly all my players are good at tackling.
My team tactics for the match are
Man Marking Go In Hard
Attack on the Break Keep Possession
Create Space Defend from the Front
Master Tactic = Go In Hard
The formation is 4 4 2
With a central midfield of
CM AM PL CM
The end result is a loss for Aalesund (my team) of 5 goals to 0
Clearly something went wrong with my tactics for this game.
My midfield players ratings where all in the 50’s, which leads me to think Attack on the Break and Keep Possession do not work together.
I am hoping that I’ll be able to turn things round in my second game in charge, and that this will be the worst result for Aalesund under my management.

I find playing 2xcm and a pl counter productive as they trip over each other
Replace the pl with a fr and maybe play sd instead of kp

Hit the nail on the head with that. You're also really lacking width, unless you were playing wingbacks. There's other bits and pieces looking at it if I were to dissect it further.

Without seeing what the opposition played and the players in the relevant positions it's very tricky to say anything constructive other than echo what's said above: 2x CM with an AM is quite unusual and will very narrow; if the opposition played wingers, or wing backs with the relevant tactics, or even a five-man midfield playing FM, your midfield would be bypassed.
Also without knowing the PVs of your players it's equally tricky but remember that PV should be the first consideration when selecting your players. Their SAs and other stats can be factored in after.

Would really need to see your match report, but a lot of tactics can exploit other tactics, and most tactics require more then two stats to work, let alone one.
One glearing thing I can see is the lack of Pressure play... if your opponents played a creative Playermaker and utilised KP as well, they'd cause huge problems for you.
Feel free to PM if you need a hand.
AOB and KP can work together of the master tactic helps those tactics... I.e. Pressure play would really have helped as a master tactic.

Nothing in your tactics shows attacking and movement is an attacking statistic. Also those 4 in midfield are way too close together and finally of your 7 choice of tactics 5 of them are of the ball tactics meaning you have 2 with the ball. So again starving your own side of the ball is what I see.
