Just to be clear this would just be a one off.

My idea is as follows...

Reduce the amount of leagues to 4.
Have 4 divisions in each league.
Quite simple lol

League one
UK & ROI teams

League two
Northern European teams - Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Holland etc etc

League three
Southern Europe teams - Spain, Portugal, France, Austria etc etc

League four
Eastern Europe teams - Italy, Russia, turkey, Bulgaria etc etc

You could even have one of the league's with ROTW teams from other continents.


Just an idea.

I can add to this how cups would work and that.

Think this could be successful in HFG game. Would hopefully let the unmanaged means drift to the lower league/s and keep the top ones compact and competitive.

Having 4 divisions with 4 leagues is easy enough now 1 league has 4 divisions already, but having 4 leagues rather than 8 wouldn't be a straight forward change to make. This idea would need a lot of support to be looked into.

If 8 Leagues are running it makes my life easier.

There could be some leagues running that are dormant - teams can't be managed, players are available to be bought etc, but they would play league and cup matches.

So a set up could look like this (European divisions taken from traditional split found on google)

UK and Ireland, or British Isles.
Southern - Ita, Gre, Spa, Por
Western - Ger, Fra, Bel, Dut, Swi, Aus
Northern - Den, Fin, Swe, Nor, Ice
Eastern - A lot, the rest of Europe

Dormant Leagues

American league
Asian League
African League

Possible that the Northern/Eastern League could be dormant too.

Sorry, just one point, I'd try and split the top leagues, so each new league has top teams.

IE, Spain, Germany, England, Italy in different leagues.

If it can be made that there are Four playable leagues of 4 divisions in each, then another 4 dormant leagues, to help you out then that would seem to be the best way to do it.

As suggested above having one of the top '4 leagues/countries' in each of the new leagues would spread the talent around a bit, based on the Uefa Member coefficients

So something like

1) ENG & british isles
2) Spain, Portugal, Turkey
3) Germany, Russia, Netherlands
4) Italy, France, Belgium

Maybe with another country here and there, then leaving

It should be stated beforehand though, it's a trail run to see how it works and should only be done if it's easy for you.

Na think we should leave it the way it is.

A lot wanted a super league in game 117 and got it which meant Ben had to put in the work to separate & arrange the leagues only for a load of managers to quit the chat/game a few weeks in, most notably the ones who actually failed to win that particular turn which raised a few laughs.

So this tells me that any idea other then the regular set up will fail just like this one, so I wouldn’t change it. Had that been a success then yeah it would have created a platform to look at other type of set ups, but not now.

So I think we should keep it the same for the forceeable.

Unsure if that comment is aimed at me or not Matt, but I'll clear my end up anyway.

I left crusaders because I'm struggling to motivate myself to get time. I was sending turns 10 minutes before deadline in the morning, in games 117+119.
Also I never left because I lost, I actually emailed Ben before the turn day to let him know I'd be leaving them. I wasn't doing that bad in the league and thought it was a good setup. Actually still don't know if they won or not lol.

That being said mate, I appreciate your input wether it agrees with mine or not. Most won't even bother replying so cheers mate.

I think 4 divisions works. All 4 English divisions are still full in 120 and people want to get a team but can't.

I could see it working across a full game. Gives people a chance to take a team from the bottom to the top and would promote game longevity
