This is a pet hate of mine as you dont get a chance to properly prepare your team for the all important first 3 points. All teams should start turn 1 with a random friendly. Disagree with this, I think that's the beauty of dealing with what you are giving and working round it to develop what you want and need. I do agree with the first turn being a friendly though.

To be fair, it would be nice to be able to pick that first line-up, just more of a feeling the team is yours sort of thing

Another suggestion - those in the English lower leagues (Div 1-4) - is there an opportunity for a knockout-style football league trophy? To be played on the same weeks as Europe.
If a team were to qualify for both then they forfeit entry to the trophy
Could pick the top 32 in these leagues that qualify and have straight knockout or something whereby all Div 1 get a bye, then round of matches div 2v3 then div 1 introduced after to make it round of 32

A pre season week isn't something I'm going to consider for the start of 120. Something to bring up and discuss once it's up and running maybe.
The League Cup is a cup for all teams that don't qualify for Europe. With the extra round for the league and FA Cup, there isn't any room for additional cups.

It would be an amazing and much wanted idea if there was to be a free week before the first league game, if we are able to have a friendly then great. But a free week would help prepare for the first game of the season knowing who we are playing.

I personally don't want a pre season but I do hate the blind turn 1 fixture. cant see why we cant just get the squad and then play 26 turns?

The deadline for making bids has passed. All bidding managers will receive an email later today letting them know their bids did. The emails won't be sent until around 4pm.
