I like the ideas especially the parachute payments,in total agreement with what has been said already about this, the aim has to be keeping managers interested and in the game.

My observation is that having a two-week injury reduction option might cause issues in value for money.

Say my player, Hereford Legend, R Purdie gets a 4 week injury - hamstring.

There is nothing that can be done about week one so I decide to rush him back and spend the 200 points on a two week reduction which means that, on the following report (week 2), he has just one week left before he can start his battle to get to 100% fitness (on week 3).

Alternatively, I spend 40 points on a one week reduction meaning that on the next report (week 2) he is showing as injured for two weeks still. So I then spend another 40 points meaning that I will get him back at the same stage as in the first scenario but will have saved 120 Karma points.

Probably best to keep it to a one-week at a time option only.

Ben wants to introduce points you can earn that can be used a variety of ways. Some want it one way and some want it another way. Looks like a bit of nastiness involved.

So I say scrap it. No point in bringing something into the game that people will get nasty over.

There were disagreements whether forum posts would generate Karma points, it was discussed and I made a decision I'm now confident was the right one.

The response to the basic idea of Karma has been positive and I've started working on adding it to the game.

Hi all, as you all know I don't usually post on here as it doesn't work properly on my phone and if I'm honest being part of the group that doesn't really have time what with work and two kids, yes iam on whatsapp and do all my deals there too, I love the game and think the main people are always going to be interested in the game, I have noticed games lasting around 2-3 seasons and can't see how adding karma points is going to prolong them, it's common knowledge that when a new game starts one dies off, look at 118 now it's still a newish game but is already slowing down due to 119, I think adding things to try and help prolong games is a good thing because I do love UE and this is a good group of lads (majority of anyway) we are never going to get along with everyone, but I'm not sure wether it should be something on here because there is a big group including myself that won't have time to post a million things on here and will therefore be losing out, I can see it is being done now so let's hope it doesn't make things silly because i don't want to leave UE over it, anyway that's my view on the situation, peace out!!

In case it was missed, as stated on the other thread - forum posts will not result in any gain in Karma.

It's a shame Ben opted for that decision, the forums won't be any busier due to no incentive for managers to post more therefore nothing will change. Basically we are just being rewarded for filling in an posting what we are expected to do. I was sure with karma points awarded for posts managers would have contributed so much more, even the quieter managers given the incentive available for them. Anyway a big shame, but decision respected. It's free karma points at the end of the day for no extra work and we all love a free be.

Wolfsburg is right, forums will continue to die and the karma points will not benefit the game as a whole, I have been in this game from the days when i used to ring peoples house phones, to the time we made our own forums to the time, UE made this forum and got everyone to transfer over.

People are not complaining about the forum posts they're complaining about the way people post them and how they will be managed.

For example on the turn sent thread, everyone posts up for example:

FORUM MEMBER 1: Turn sent, This guy is replacing this guy and im resting this guy for this reason etc.

FORUM MEMBER 2: Turn sent.

Now for me forum member 2 is taking the biscuit and posting just for the sake of posting to get Karma points.

For me Ben, i wouldn't introduce forum posts at the start of Karma points, run the points as a trial with all the rest of the idea's and find a way to introduce karma points for forum points fairly.

1) I think this should be limited to 3 weeks: 1 Week 100 points, 2 weeks 200 points, 3 weeks 300 points etc.

2) Perfect, i was going to say they should be a consequence to doing it. However 3 times per season should be per week, so if a said player is injured for 4 weeks and you reduce it by 2, that leaves 1 more time to reduce his injury before the 50% kicks in.

3) Im not sure about this, what do the teams that win the league or get promotion to the champions league get? - Its a good idea to keep people in the game that arent performing as well as others, however maybe offer them 300 points for relegation and non promotion and 100 points for winning the league 50 for 2nd and 25 for 3rd.
