I just wonder if it would be a difficult sell though. Imagine, you try your best, fail and get sacked and you are back to square one but also a long way from competitive at your new club. I do like the concept but just think that the shelf life might be very short. That would only reflect a good proportion of the sackings in English football these days. Many a sacking these days seem harsh and many of those sacked managers then move on to a different team. Take Paul Lambert for example he seems to go from job to job so no reason why the same couldn't be applied in UE with hopefully a similar strength club available to manage. For me that risk is a selling point of the game, to make it challenging.

The difference is that Paul Lambert gets well rewarded for his sacking whereas a UE manager would be paying for that privilege.

Martin B wrote: Wanted to post this seperately but how about in addition to the EFG (normal game), HFG (hard format) we have a PFG (pressure game) introduced? You would join a game you are given targets to meet for the season such as expected league finish, cup expectations etc and then come the end of the season your performance is judged by your board of directors. Should you not do well enough and fail every target then potentially you can find yourself sacked and have to take on a new team to manage?
This way I feel Pressure could be implemented in to the game as an additional product without affecting the established EFG or HFG games. I know I would be interested in such a game where the challenge is relative to the team you manage and the pressure comes with the expectations.
So how about it UE, what about a PFG? This could be great, but the only danger is managers moaning about being sacked. But I personally would love the challenge as personally managers would need to concentrate more on achieving the targets instead of pointless deals each week helping friends out.

Managers also pay £40 a year or whatever it costs to be sacked playing Football Manager so I don't really see any difference.
If a manager were to get sacked they still keep there credit / season ticket but just get themselves a new club - likely being to take over where someone else got sacked - again as it works in the real world.

I'd love it if you could get sacked and were on the brink etc but it wouldn't be for everyone but a very interesting idea.

I like it, but there is a risk of a game losing too many managers this way. Something to consider in the future if enough managers say they would be interested, but not for the next game.

When you put it like that, playing that UE type of game would save me buying FM each season. You have my vote It would be worth playing just to see Joe mess up 8 different clubs in one game
