I would prefer to keep any write ups private for the moment. When your team is done PM them to me with positions, tactics and a write detailing why your team is the best, if you wish to.

Hearts117 wrote: nah not as good as Montpellier/MGBs team mate I appreciate the feedback, Gav,and accept your opinion as your own. I also realised from the outset that choosing players from a pre-Sky era might mean that those players are not rated. It's precisely for that reason that I never chose players from even further back like Jose Andrade who would walk into any of these sides.

Beg to differ - Andrade is a quality centre back and one of the top 20 centre backs however, I would rate Matthias Sammer and Jose Santamaria a little higher personally. Legends is all about opinions though which is the beauty of it!

With respect, Chris, the Jose Andrade that you refer to is only from the very recent past and, as you say, a reasonable CB but a long way from 'legend' status. I was referring to Jose Leandro Andrade, the pre-war Uruguayan midfielder and subject of the fascinating, Before Pele there was Andrade.

Never wise to second guess Rone, I find it slightly insulting you would think I would refer to the average Jorge Andrade who played for Juve and Portugal, have you bothered to look at my eleven?
I too was referring to Jose Andrade the pre war Uruguayan "midfielder" whom gained 'legendary status after being practically blind in one eye after colliding with a post in 1928 and being pushed in to a central defence position due to his incredible judgement and then went on to win the World Cup with Uruguay in 1930 with him being named as one of the best players in the tournament.
And I would still have Sammer and Santamaria ahead of Andrade even though wiki and the other "top ten" sites ran by kids would beg to differ.

come lads, this was made for fun and entertainment. Opinions are like arse holes, we all have one. Luckily here it's only one opinion that matters, UE.

I don't call you by your surname, Chris, and would appreciate similar respect. 2. Andrade was a midfielder (wing half) but may well have been pushed to CB in an emergency. However, as Bernard Manning said, 'I had some puppies that were born in a stable but that don't make 'em horses!' Regardless, I couldn't pick the bloke as he's just a name from my childhood footsie encyclopaedia.
