At the moment, when you find a player through scouting or on the rest of the world transfer list the rules are the same as bidding for any other player. If your director’s confidence is below 60% you can bid up to his max value, if it is above 60% you can overbid by an undisclosed amount.
This has been a matter of discussion lately and an alternative has arisen.
If your Director’s confidence is above 70%, you can bid significantly more for a rest of the world player, whether he’s on the list or you find him through scouting.
The amount you can bid will not be unlimited, but it will be around twice the amount you can bid at the moment.

So for example if I had 55% DC and I bided say 80 to 90m for a player as I have loads of money. That mean then I can sign him if no one else has bided more then me?

Mick, I think your DC will still have an impact and it won't be unlimited bidding.
Say if a max is £10m and you can bid in the present system up to £13,333,333 you would be able to pay £16,666,666 double the amount you can pay now.

If I am reading it right it will still mean those that can work out values and amounts that can be paid will still be favourites to buy the players only that they will have to pay more to secure.

How are the shit teams like Watford with there low DC ever going to get a chance of getting one of these great players from the transfer list which we so desperately need to improve ??
We're not so everyone else will improve there team while we're stuck with division two players ! Lol
Think we should be able to bid what ever you like to be fair regardless of yr DC! Bidding for players after I nearly work out there max values knowing that I'll be out bid is soul destroying I'm thinking of committing Suicide !

Yes, but the amounts will be so high I imagine they would rarely want to do it. The minimum DC is so new managers can't come in and blow all their money on a average player before they really understand the nature of the game. But you have a point, maybe a minimum DC based on weeks at the club could be introduced.

I love the poll question, why can't it be really simple like 'Should we introduce an unlimited bidding for ROW players?' As I don't get what the term 'relaxed' means. (Sorry for being dull)
That way far more people will concentrate on cash deals instead of swap, swap, swap all the time.

In my ideal world, all players would go through the list and I could accumulate a fine side and dominate.(a bit like managing MGB in 87 and choosing the results yourself! ). I like the current system as it benefits those who do some homework but I do fully appreciate that others may wish for change. I would not like a convoluted system as described above. I have played for years. Some managers are new this week but they are as much part of UE as I am now. I would not want a two tier system which prevents new players from joining in fully. If a 36/95 player joins my side then the net benefit is small whereas imagine the centrepiece he'd make at Ascoli or Ternana or Alaves. I know that there's a risk that the new manager might not stick around once he has bought the player but there is surely more risk of him leaving because a rule says he can't compete? Unrestricted bidding works at EoS so it can work at all times .

Although I have voted yes, I would also support the bid what you want scenario.
