Just curious really.
I've unfortunately supported Ipswich since our wonderful promotion season in 1992, when after flitting from Norwich to Man United to Liverpool and back I decided on Ipswich because we were top of the then second division (now Champ). Also living where I do most of my mates were Norwich fans and I do like to irritate people.
The next year was promising I recall beating United 2-1 at Portman Road I think (Frank Yallop winner) and we were near the top. However, season after was a disaster and the 9-0 still is rather painful to this day. I still cannot believe that record stands.
Next few seasons of playoffs, usually losing to Sheffield United or Bolton, then the Barnsley playoff final - and the great run to the edge of the Champions League in 2001-2. Beating Inter at home, but hardly winning any other games before then getting relegated again.
Pretty apathetic with it now though as we've been woeful pretty much for 15 years bar the odd drum of excitement as we peak in about sixth place. Really not looking forward to this season - be about 13th at best. I guess I might waste £100 odd quid going along to watch them once or twice but in truth it's just depressing and the season hasn't even started!!!!

United fan for 30 odd years, went to my first game in about 84 a fitting win against Liverpool. Went through the ups and downs of the 80's where Scouse teams dominated most things football. Had a season ticket stretty Tier 2 but then the wife and kids came along so that ended that. Really looking forward to this season, Jose was the man I wanted when SAF left but better late than never, think he will galvanise the club and get us playing a brand of football that we want to see, oh and win a trophy or 2 of course final word on the subject Zlatan

Support Glasgow Celtic
Had my season ticket for a few years now but always attended a minimum dozen games each year when I haven't had my ticket. Looking forward to the new season with Rodgers in charge

Alloa fan who lives in Manchester, still manage to get up a few times to watch when visiting the in-laws.
Started going to watch FC United when they moved into there new ground last season (local to me) great day out, good cheep beer and food at ground and a great atmosphere with a big terrace at one end of the ground where they sing all game. Looking forward to the friendly in a couple of weeks against Marks Hereford should be a good un. lol

Brentford season ticket holder for many years, currently loving life in the Championship. Successive 5th and 9th placed finishes have exceeded expections.
Appalling bad luck with injuries scuppered any real push last season, in fact at one point we looked like being sucked into a relegation battle with a unbelievable 14 players out at one stage, one broken leg, 2 with broken feet, 2 With knee ligament damage, including record £2 mil signing who got ruled out for the whole season on his debut!
If we can avoid a repeat this year I'm confident of another play off push, then who knows!'

You should never have partied ways with Mark Warburton, he worked miracles there, crazy.[/quote]
I'm not going bore you with everything that happened leading to his departure, but he was not sacked as has been reported in the media, he chose not to renew his rolling contract after disagreeing with the owner over changes in transfer policy.
I liked Warburton, but I love our owner Matthew Benham, a local lad and life long fan, without his investment we would be struggling to stay in league two.
Until we move into our planned new stadium we will continue to have one of the lowest incomes in the championship meaning that to stay within FFP rules we know we have to sell players. We bought Andre Gray for 500k then sold him 12 months later for 9mil (inc add-on's) then replace him with Lassie Vibe for £1mil who only scored 3 goals less.
We made over £22 mil last summer doing this and replaced all our departures with new excellent young, hungry players, I think Dean Smith as Head Coach and our DOF are doing an excellent job.

Cheers, success to me and most Bees fans at the moment is another top ten finish, Warburton would have struggled to achieve that last season given our injury status. Warburton is no messiah, it's no secret he had to be convinced by our DOF to buy Andre Gray as Warbs wasn't keen on him at the time. Also his lack of a tactical plan B cost us at times, his favourite quote was "Plan B is to do Plan A better!"
