Poor teaching materials are being blamed for falling standards of management of popular fantasy football games, according to a recent Ofsted inspection. When managers should be reading the Team Management booklet and instructions on how to make an all conquering football team, all too many are still looking at the simplistic dogma of "The Janet and John book of football management" where there is a definite ethos of "this is what my mate John does". "who on earth is this new manager, they must be cheating" and "there is no place in this game for girls, what do they know about football management"
‘By the time they get round to turn day, they aren’t ready to get full benefit from the intricacies of made up tactics in a randomly generated computer programme" said an inspector. ‘We cannot hope to educate a new generation of embittered misfits like this. Cheating standards are also sadly lacking. We are finding managers can’t even asset strip a team without another managing outing them prematurely.’
Management forum groups echoed the sense of being failed by the system. ‘Nowadays if you want to be sure of your team going on to conquer Europe, you must buy your way to success. A disappointed manager from Cripstead stated, ‘I didn’t get two jobs and flog the Range Rover to get to 3rd in the Premiership’
A frightened manager who wished to remain nameless said that she had heard her mates mate said something on whatsapp and now fears being isolated from ever doing any deals again. She added she knew she should confide her fears to the police, but was worried about the shame that he might be bringing on his family.
Added a football management spokesman: ‘See John. John has big team. John plays smaller team. John may win or lose. Good boy John. See Janet. Janet in house. Janet belong in house. See Janet come out of house. John punch Janet in face. Janet go back in house. Bad girl Janet. Good boy John.’
