One of the UE point options is to add potential to a player.

Every player has a few types of natural potential. You can gauge these potentials to an extent by the responses you get to individual training. Giving a player potential resets all of his potentials to a very high level. This does not guarantee that he will become a World Class player, but given playing time and training, he will develop very well over time.

On your teams Player Statistics page there is a column 'P'. Any players with added potential will have a * in this column.

Is there anyway you can tell who has potential with your reserves? I don't have a players statistics page for reserves

If you scout (or request to manage) your reserves, you will get the player statistics page for them. Same with your youth team.

can the potential not be put on the team squad page ,as think im right in saying if you scout a team you dont see the statistics side so will have no idea if any players in that team have potential.
this can be a real pain especially end of season when looking for a player to buy from unmanaged team.
i know you can evaluate a player to find out this information but thats 2 jobs to get 1 answer

We looked at putting a potential indicator on the first team sheet page, but we couldn't get it to work without messing up the layout too much.

For scouted teams/next week opponents sheets. This is something we will look into.

Agree ! Don't do it, the fun is evaluating for an eos bid, displaying it so readily will make managers lazy and takes away the thrill of the chase

If there are mixed feelings, we'll leave things how they are.

I would agree, don't do it. The fun is guessing who to buy eos.

Great decision. Leave it as it is.
We don't need to be spoon-fed.

Agreed leave it as it is.

As much as I love the interaction of UE providing the odd subtle insight to the game here and there, there also needs to be enough of a mystique of the game that managers need to work out for themselves.

For example something simple such as the individual training stats explaination sounds simple and harmless enough but you'd be amazed the number of managers who used to judge a player just by training one stat, these kind of snipets of information can make a difference in the decision to retain a player or not.
