If a manager sells their teams star players and abandons the team shortly afterwards - they may be subject to a Karma penalty of up to 500. This can be taken from any or all of their teams in others games.

As a manager you are expected to act in your team's best interest. If you wish to drop a team that is fine. But selling your best players to to another team just before doing so, is not acceptable and can ruin the game for other managers.

This penalty is in place from now.

Sounds fair tbh. I take It the suspected guilty parties have been contacted directly also?

Also can I check that no teams are allowed to be taken on this week?

Pet hate of mine but can't see losing karma being a deterant if you sell a player then quit that team in the next 5 turns should get a transfer ban on all your other managed sides for 5 weeks at least with the deal being reversed most have an idea if they are looking to drop a side some weeks before doing it

Good idea. Let's hope it works. Its one of the few things that can be done for duplicitous dealings that go on to often.

I don't think adding anything to it is a good idea at the minute. Stick to the 500 karma idea and see if it works. If it doesn't work then consider upping the punishment.

Love this idea Luke, well thought up mate.

Its a shame that people even have the cheek to try it, but lets be honest, Its not hard to spot as we have seen the same old excuses for dropping sides appear time and time again. But naming and shaming i think is the best punishment tbh.

Ben I hope your going to look into this in game 123 with a few dodgy deals being pulled and then teams becoming unmanaged?
If not then this thread was pretty pointless?

Unfortunately it was a fair deal so iv been told. 500 karma to sign someone’s best player just isn’t enough. What can you do with 500 karma in 124?

Something needs to be done before UE ends up losing business from a lot of unhappy managers who have said the exact same thing about the same teams/managers.

This was a post from 7 years ago. It was aimed as managers who had one team, took on another, sold a star player and left then left the team. If a manager doesn't have a team in the game Karma can't be taken away from him, at least by me.

It isn't as relevant now, as managers who want to manage a second team must by a season ticket for them, so they can't drop them after a few weeks.

Karl, if you have concerns about any deals in 123 please email the office.
