Due to my mistake, not enough FA Cup Pre qualifying games were played. This has resulted in 8 English teams not being in the FA Cup at all this season. I apologise for this.
There isn’t an easy way to fix it. The cup calendar is full, and the English cup schedule has to synch up with the other leagues after turn 5, so playing another qualifying round isn’t really possible.
A solution would be to treat it like an overbooked flight. Offer compensation (UE Points) for not being in the FA Cup to all passengers. Start offering low compensation (eg 1 UE point). If nobody takes it, increase the compensation (to 2 UE points, 3 UE points etc). When the compensation is enough and there are 8 teams who willingly take the deal, they will be removed from the FA Cup and compensated. As things stand, there are 8 teams not in the FA Cup but who these teams are doesn’t matter. If they are not teams taking the compensation, they will be put back in the FA Cup in place of those who do.
If you accept the deal when the offer is 1UE point but the 8th manager accepts the deal when the offer is 5 UE points, you will get 5 UE points, so there is no disadvantage in accepting early, if that is what you want to do. If more than 8 managers want to accept the deal, only the first 8 to post saying they accept on this thread will receive the compensation.
If the consensus is that this solution is fair the process can begin.
