Post subject:  EFG & HFG Changes

I was chatting to a fellow UE manager and came up with a few ideas in order to make EFG and HFG much different with one more competitive than the other. Some managers like the easy 'pressureless' type game, some are just more suited to either one and others just want to play with mates with the fun factor.

EFG Rules could be which would be a far more basic type game.

* The old usual stats to start.
* UE Points present for the smaller sides to even the team value's up.
* Scouted finds allowed to be shared.
* No debt for big clubs but no points either.
* Plus today's usual rules of a EFG like multi management allowed etc.
* Change the subs bench to 7 spaces.

HFG Rules could then be.

* Heavy debt for big clubs.
* NO points in the game to start, so no points for small sides. Just cash in the hundred million bracket to even up the squads. For example Hereford would start with 250m in the bank with Barca having 250m debt. Ensuring all squads in the game add to the value of say 500m.
* No sharing of scouted finds.
* lower stats to start with.
* Transfer ban for x amount of weeks after signing a player.
* Player concerns present in the game.
* Ability to change formation or tactics mid game.
* Keep the subs bench at 5 spaces.

What's everyone's thoughts on that and what other rules would you like to see implemented??

Why would u want the subs at 5 in one game and 7 in another?

Couple of them sound bollox

It emphasises the difference between a HFG and a EFG. Having 7 subs would make things easier than having 5 subs. I thought that was pretty obvious?

It's not obvious particularly when u want to be able to change tactics mid game too

How would u spot people sharing scouted finds?

As I said in our PM, UE apparently implemented a ban on sharing of scouted players in a previous game where they even posted that they excluded 3 managers from the game for doing it, how they noticed I don't know, you would have to ask them. A good rule though.

As for the tactics, again as stated via our PM, an example would be a manager is able to set a instruction on say 60th min if the team is winning they are allowed to adopt a more defensive approach in order to protect their lead. Another good idea could be suited for the more in-depth type of game.

Sorry but besides the idea of 7 subs - in all games, changing tactics mid-game and a ban on transfers on a player after signing, the rest of it makes no sense.

I understand changing tactics I don't understand why u would put it with the 5 subs instead of 7, would be better the other way round if anything

Too much hassle for Ben at UE, I would say leave the games they way they are especially with the legends game coming up....

At least your putting in ideas, but for the moment I would not do anything. Don't think it's the correct time to make changes with a new style game starting.

Exactly, but there is always some though as you can see above. But you're probably right, Cheers Muscles.
