Beak and Peeflap non-league adventure

Everyone supports a professional football club, or at least follows their progress. Some support a semi-professional club. Which ever way you do this, it seems that everyone has some sort of tie to a non-league football team, whether it's a local team or a team from where you grew up...

My team is Worcester City. They play in the National league North which is the sixth tier of English football. Currently playing their home games at the Victoria Ground, Bromsgrove, after leaving their home of St. George's Lane in 2013.

Darryls teams were Barnet (before promotion to the league) and Boreham Wood before moving north to the midlands. His allegiance now lies with Solihull Moors, they play out of Damson Park in the National League (5th tier).

We are planning to watch a non-league match once a month in various places around the UK. This starts with Solihull vs Tranmere on the 22nd of October. If anyone is around this area and would like to meet up for the game please get in touch!
We've already had offers to visit Bath, Darlington and Scotland so we'll be finalising the details and getting that arranged shortly. If anyone was interested in the non-league days out we will be posting details as we go and a short write up following the day on the forum!

It would be nice to finaly put a face to some names from UE

Nice idea. As a Torquay supporter I understand the importance of supporting your local team. Living in Devon it annoys me how alot of people I know claim allegiance to Man Utd or Barcelona and mock the local teams even know they get a noise bleed if they drive past Bristol.

my main team is and always will be Newcastle but cos I'm from Darlington have a strong affiliation to the club and support them but not as passionately or as much as Newcastle these days but want them to win and occasionally attend games.

darlo currently in Conference North on back of 3 promotions in 4 seasons since reforming. (see Chester Halifax and Hereford for similar stories)

Always more then welcome to Basingstoke to watch a team as grim as the town itself... we're talking about a town where you have 83% chance of contracting an STD from fish and chips.

Always been a Gooner and always will be... but do watch my local side now and then with a few mates when we can.
